Nice work Windy.

thanks Bison, its a great game ....  I don't think i will ever have the patience to cast the unity spell.... its swords and sorcery all the way! Oh and economy too....

BTW,
in the earlier discussion about resources (particularly food) I am thinking surplus food in a city increases population growth rate

There is also a Viagra spells that helps grow the population.
If it looks like chicken, tastes like chicken, and feels like chicken but Chuck Norris says its beef, then it's beef.

If women had apostrophes instead of periods they would be even more possessive!

My doctor wrote me a prescription for daily sex.

My wife insists that it says dyslexia but what does she know.

There is also a Roseanne Barr spell to curse one of your enemy cities' pop growth with!

Gusington

Is that the horrific 'Giant Ass' spell?

'Whiney Blob Of Erectile Dysfunctionista'

Probably takes a long time to research since nobody wants to examine it.  :P

Two new DLC packs have just arrived on Gamersgate. They are not also on Steam at the time of writing.

Master of Artifacts (DLC)

The ancient and almost forgotten art of making artifacts returns to Ardania. Now every Great Mage can create powerful artifacts imbued with spells, abilities, or even strength of the gods!

Features

  • Using special spells artifacts can be created
  • Special units of lords can be given artifacts (which will be available via free patch)
  • Artifacts can be found in monster dens, received as quests rewards, gained and lost during battles, bought from Trader of Artifacts or smelted to mana
Return of the Elves (DLC)

The elves from the knightly order of Arethi return to Ardania. They come not to serve as they did in the past but to conquer. They bring along the True Knowledge, and intend to share its' light with everyone who will accept it, willingly or otherwise.

Features

  • New race of the Arethi Elves with all its might and glory:
  • 18 new units
  • 20 brand new city buildings
  • Additional new perks and abilities
  • New Great Mage – Grand Master Amberon the Dark.
  • New perks for Great mages:
  • Glorious Tactician - Increases the attack power of all units of a Great mage.
  • Academician – Increases Research point production.
So artifact creation (just like Master of Magic maybe?) and a new race. Also, I like a lot that we have a new race. Having only 3, very different to one another but still only 3, felt too few.

Also, a new patch:

patch notes 1.2.2 information

• The method of land generation was changed so that some land types (like volcanic) now would be created as small patches regardless of climate.
• Fixed problem with loading of Multiplayer save games. (old saves are still valid)
• Ballista unit became a bit tougher and cheaper.
• When starting a saved multiplayer game the missing players will be replaced with AI.
• Monster lair spawn events are more logical now, and a few more were added.
• Multiplayer Lobby now shows the total number of players in it (including playing).
• Quest and Loot windows became a bit wider to better show long units and artifacts names.
• Now a player cannot disable a building manually – only demolish (or activate if disabled).
• The hint added – the reasons why the building cannot be activated.
• Now when a player closes the "Select target Mage" window the spell is automatically cancelled.
• Fixed the issue when a player could receive a quest to destroy an entire Monster faction.
• Fixed the issue when a player unit could not be set to Sentry mode (or sleep mode).
• Fixed a crash in AI turn.
• Fixed the bug when a Portal could spawn on top of a city.
• Fixed the bug when a player could get the same spell in the research window twice.
• Fixed the AI faction global spell casting.
• Fixed some misprints.

Master of Artifacts is available on Gamersgate, and even though it doesn't appear as a purchasable item on Steam, I was able to register and download it.  I haven't tried the Elves one yet.

my warlock is updating itself on steam as we speak - i dont know whats come out

tgb

Probably the patch if you didn't order the DLC.  I just got Rise of the Elves from Gamersgate as well (thank you, blue coins). Again, it registered and downloaded from Steam.

ahh should have read all of the above

Greybriar

Today only (2 August 2012) Warlock: Master of the Arcane can be purchased from GamersGate for $4.99 U.S.

Regardless of how good a PC game may be it will always have its detractors and no matter how bad a PC game may be it will always have its fans.

Staggerwing

Well, that did it. I caved. And while checking my GG Shelf I saw a game I'd purchased which i have no recollection of getting. It was dirt cheap and it is some sort of wargame but I just don't remember it at all. Anyone else have that issue? There's just too many damn games at firesale prices getting thrown against the wall these days that I've lost track... :o
Vituð ér enn - eða hvat?  -Voluspa

Nothing really rocks and nothing really rolls and nothing's ever worth the cost...

"Don't you look at me that way..." -the Abyss

'When searching for a meaningful embrace, sometimes my self respect took second place' -Iggy Pop, Cry for Love

... this will go down on your permanent record... -the Violent Femmes, 'Kiss Off'-

Yeah, I've started thinking of my game collection like a wine cabinet. When I see a good game at a good price I buy it, I don't worry about when or if I'm going to drink it. Later on, when I visit the cabinet, I'm sometimes very pleasantly surprised. Games too can improve with age, through patching, expansions, DLC and mods.

TheCommandTent

Thats a really good way to think of it ... and to justify buying tons of games  ::)
