I'll be working and hoping Tuna gets back from his business trip so that he, UCG, and I can continue our game of Pride of Nations.  At roughly 10 turns per week, we should be done sometime in early 2018!

aaah, thats why im turnless - im trying to improve the turn around from my end, i think at the weekend we hammered a good 8 or 9 last week

to add to this ive realised my options are much more limited than yours because im not a great power without a sphere of influence. This happens after unification for me which doesnt fire until '58 - i have an awful lot of trading and pissing about in the colonies until then

this and i have a master plan - unify, take East Africa and then attack Britain, i think its the only way to stop them

as for this weekend i shall be mostly dealing narcotics in Elite Dangerous

spreading Armenia across Europe in Rome II

and Gus has switched me on to AOW III - ill be looking at this again

Hopefully finish my latest game of Warlock on challenging. Medium map with 3 AIs on challenging. I am holding my own but every time I start to make headway the AI players decimate my ranks with firestorm or the death magic equivalent.

I tried the Napoleon TW Great War mod and to be honest found it unfinished and dull as dishwater. This was right when it was released over a year ago so maybe things have improved since then.

As far as AoWIII I have not tried a sandbox game yet. I understand that's where the real meat of the game is...

A new patch recently came out. It has a very long list of improvements, though I'm still waiting for definitive feedback on how much it improves the game. There have been people playing for many months and claiming that the current bugs are pretty minor.

I'm slowly wading through Englishmen in Decisive Campaigns: WtP Operation Sea Lion. Damn those guys can put up a fight. You'd think this was a soccer match or something. Sorry Brother Brits, I just had to. ;D Also it's finally Fall here in Florida-- you can tell because there's maple leaves in the pool. And Fall always puts me in the mood for Skyrim. I want to go to Whiterun and slap around some of those lippy guards.

Crusader Kings 2: Probably play for a few hours. Still not sure what I think of the new DLC. I haven't run into any major bugs but the game play has kind of disappointing. Started a few test games as Charlemagne. Within the first few years of all of them, I was forced to accept elective monarchy by my vassals. I tired fighting a few out, but several of my more powerful dukes and counts where involved and I got ripped apart. Since elective monarchy wasn't even a concept at the time, I find it really annoying, especially since as far as I can see there is no way to avoid it.

I was playing as Burgundy last night.  Sure enough, March 769 rolls around and there's a huge uprising about elective monarchy (or something -- I ignored Charlemagne or whoever) suddenly there were armies in the thousands battling it out.  Apparently I was on Charlemagne's side, but I just worked to keep red armies out of Burgundy.  This was all in the middle of my trying to get married.  I just did not have time for crnkypants early medieval crybaby military stunts.  Was there really a big elective monarchy thing going on?  Wasn't Charles Martel enough to get that all settled?

Sounds like there are more than one "railroading" events if you are.

I played Tomb Raider (the 2013 reboot) a bit last night and really enjoyed the cinematic-like experience.

Not only was Kingship elective, but Charles Martel was never even King.  So the game is just being true to the period with all this turmoil.  I though I was going to fight Almoravids and Saxons and Lombards, but the average fighting seems to be Frank vs. Frank.

Charles never was, but Charlemagne was. What Wikipedia article did you read? I was able to find this:

Finished up Ag Center in Wasteland 2 tonight. Not sure why they couldn't defend themselves. By the time I finished looting the place, I found 3-4 sniper rifles, 2 M2 machine guns, a bren machine gun, and a couple of sub-machine guns, pistols, melee weapons, and a copious amount of ammo.
