just a quick question - decks

are decks only for SP? i dont see a choice to bring your deck in MP?

Decks are crucial in MP.  In multiplayer it is often better to specialize, especially if you do the 10v10 matches.  In those, each guy/gal sortof has their own thing they do.  Some focus on an airforce, others tanks, some just logistics.

definitely a **at moment - im staring at my amazing deck thinking thats it, this is the one, joining a MP game and dropping the menu down and picking default Brit choice thinking hang on, wheres me masterpiece - then realised i called it something else and there it is on the drop down menu - sigh

FWIW - AT troops dismounted in buildings are hard core - i destroyed masses of tanks and recon from a little hamlet i took

I've been playing quite a few of 10v10 matches and really enjoying it.  I've tried going anti-air and artillery support.

I'm really starting to learn the right tools for the right situation.  BMPT's and Afghanistani's are amazing for getting troops out of buildings...I prefer to play as the Soviets.  There's something about using inferior weaponry and finding a way to win.  :)

What do you guys play?  What's your favorite units?

I've fallen in love with LAV 25 & Bushmasters, and specialized US marine deck in general. :)

I always had a problem with the name of this game...I thought it was pretty stupid.  But now I get it...

There is an article in the latest issue of Modern War (one of the spin-off publications from Strategy & Tactics) about the US European theater Cold War Doctrine called "AirLand Battle."  Duh...I had no idea.

I know...I should have known this.  To be honest, I probably did and forgot it.  Seems like I've forgotten more knowledge about war and guns than most average non-grogs ever have in a lifetime.

Tonight's Wargame lesson learned:  "The right asset at the right place at the right time...is brutal."

I always tend to stock  up on cheap anti-tank missile vehicles that have decent ATs on them.  Great for rushing a small group to a treeline to set up a quick defense if need be.  Although they tend not to last terribly long against a large attacking force, they often take out more points than they're worth.  :D
